- Will I receive a password? May I share my password with friends, or is use limited solely to me?
When you complete the subscription process, you will create a user name and a password. You are the only one licensed to use this password.
- What if I forget my password?
We have instructions for what to do if you forget your user name or your password. Details about how to do this will be included as part of the subscription process.
- Why should I get a member subscription to ASPET's journals?
Member Subscribers have access to the following features for all four ASPET journals: tables of contents, abstracts, full text searching, full text display, PDFs for all issues back to volume 1, number 1, links to Medline and GenBank, current contents awareness with links to the journal articles e-mailed to them for each issue, use of CiteTrack, interjounal links to other HighWire Press journals, and the advantage of having password access to ASPET journals from any computer connected to the Internet, plus current contents awareness e-mailed directly to you each month with links to the journal articles. ASPET Membership
Without a subscription, you have access to tables of contents, abstracts, and full text searching at no cost and without having to register.
- How can I tell if my institution has subscribed? How do I get my institution to subscribe?
If your institution has a subscription, you will automatically have access to the tables of contents, abstracts, full-text searching, full text display, PDFs, and Medline and GenBank links. You will see a button at the top of the page confirming you are signed in as part of an institution.
If your institution does not subscribe, please contact your librarian and recommend a subscription.
- Can I get the table of contents e-mailed to me automatically?
Yes, member subscribers can get the current tables of contents e-mailed to them as they become available. ASPET's journals are published continuously. That is, articles are posted online as they are ready instead of waiting for a complete issue. You may also receive notification each time new content is added to a journal. These alerts are sent approximately 3-5 times a month.
- Since my subscription gives me access to all of ASPET's journals online, do I have to activate my subscription to each one individually?
No, once you activate your subscription through any one of the journals, your access to the other three is automatic. To log in after that, you will use the same password and user name for all four journals.
- How can I access the ASPET's journals if I am not an ASPET member and I do not have access through an institutional subscription?
You may wish to apply for ASPET Membership . Alternatively, you may purchase access to individual articles for $25.00 per article. Without a subscription you have access to full-text articles published more than 12 months ago since 1997, Fast Forward publish-ahead-of-an-issue articles in JPET, Molecular Pharmacology, and DMD (which are manuscripts accepted for publication but not copyedited and formatted), tables of contents, abstracts, and full text searching (without full text viewing) at no cost and without having to register.
- How do I become a member of ASPET?
Information about ASPET Membership and application forms are available from ASPET.
